Purchases go to support new copies of "Kote Ki Pa Gen Dokte" ("Where There is No Doctor") for the Community Health Workers program in Seguin, Haiti.

Run Haiti supports the Community Health Workers program in Seguin, Haiti, in collaboration with Humanity First, USA. As part of this program, a team of 12 local women provide education on healthy habits and head stroke prevention efforts. These women hold community meetings and visit neighbors homes to help improve the lives of everybody around them. 

Led by a Haitian-trained nurse with years of experience, the Community Health Workers provide medical management of hypertension in Seguin. Early intervention saves lives.

The Community Health Workers must go through a one-year training curriculum before they can begin working in the community. The text for this curriculum is "Kote Ki Pa Gen Dokte" (the Haitian Creole translation of "Where There is No Doctor"). The women cherish their copies of this book and use it as a reference for years to come.

Unfortunately, several copies of "Kote Ki Pa Gen Dokte" are weather-damaged or worn. Our goal is to purchase new copies for the Community Health Workers through this limited run.

Each singlet purchased covers the cost of one copy of "Kote Ki Pa Gen Dokte."
